The 40th Annual RISE Conference
November 12 & 13, 2024

Albany Marriott Hotel, 189 Wolf Rd. Albany, NY

Why should I attend the RISE Conference?

For 40 years the NYS Education Department and the NYS Coalition for Independent and Religious Schools have provided a premier professional development opportunity for leaders of New York's religious and independent schools.  By carefully and thoughtfully cultivating sessions and topics the conference has provided timely and meaningful PD that can be easily implemented into your school.

In recent years, with the use of the Title IIA and IV funds conference attendees have had their hotel rooms paid for, and registration costs have remained low, thus making the event the very affordable.

What is Time to Consult?

Our colleagues from the NYS Education Department have long joined us at the RISE Conference to meet with conference attendees. Time to Consult is designed for you to meet directly one-on-one with the specialist in the area you have questions or concerns. The purpose of this time is to address short, quick questions.  Come prepared with your questions and take advantage of this time.

The offices that will be present include assessment, curriculum and instruction, transportation, TEACH/CLTE, health, special ed, early childhood  and many others. Time to consult will be held from 8 am to 12:00 pm on Tuesday, November 12th.

Mini Sessions

Building on the success of last year's Conference we will again be offering short (35 minute) sessions with offices from NYSED. These sessions are aimed at bringing your attention to  program areas that often field numerous questions from our schools. In addition these sessions will offer the opportunity for you to hear from your colleagues and have your questions answered.  Offices such as ESSA (Title Funding programs), Assessment, Early Childhood. Special Ed., ORISS, etc. will be sharing during this time.
